Clearly, the ‘Most Dramatic Rose Ceremony Ever’ …

Well, I’m a little late posting this post, but I just wanted to say that this season’s “The Bachelorette” ending last night might have truly been the “most dramatic rose ceremony ever” …

I got completely sucked into this season. Complete with popcorn, DVRing, and everything. I got hooked sometime around the moment Bentley made his most jerky comments, and then pretty much every Monday since.

I’ve been really rooting for J.P. — he always seemed like a more obvious choice to me — but man, that ending with Ben really got to me. For the first time ever on this show, I really felt like we were watching a season of real emotions and real relationships play out — Ben was killing me with that heartfelt proposal! My heart just broke for him when she pulled him back up from his bended knee. And then he tucked that ring back into its box and said, “Wow, I didn’t see that coming” …

Oh, Ben.

Killer.

Really.

But then J.P. — I was so happy when he showed up, and she seemed like she could get on with her new life, and with a guy who seemed right for her, despite what her sister said.

The whole thing — the sister’s disapproval, the jerk “player” Bentley, the two sincere and nervous guys, Ben’s loss of his dad, Ryan P.’s arrival to win her back, the postponed declarations of feelings — it all seemed so true to real relationships this season. It had a little bit of everything — and everything that really happens in relationships. It was like a great romantic movie playing out. …

This was really a fun one to watch.

So who do you think will be the next Bachelor? Superman is thinking maybe Ryan P.; I”m starting to wonder if maybe Ben…

  1. Hey, good-lookin’ vitamin C! Yes, now after seeing that last show, I guess Ben would be a popular female choice. Also, after seeing the “After the Rose Ceremony” show, I’m also wondering about Aemes (sp??). … He sure got a ton of applause!
