Was it that quiet affair beneath an alter of pine trees in Lake Tahoe? Or the huge shin-dig at the California mission? Or maybe a crazy Halloween-themed wedding where everyone wore masks? (… yes, those are three weddings I actually attended!)
I’d love to hear your 3 favorite weddings you attended as a guest — and what made them so memorable for you.
1. My own. 17 years ago and I can still remember every moment of it.
2. My sister Shannon’s wedding. We were in a church with no A/C, in August, in Georgia. I was the maid of honor. I think I lost 5 lbs just standing up for her! The poor groomsmen were almost purple by the time the ceremony was done.
3. My friend Mary’s wedding. I was just a guest but on the way into the church, our driver (we were being ferried in on golf carts to this church in the woods) had a seizure. My husband and I jumped off and got the cart stopped and I helped render aid until an ambulance could get to us. It was definitely memorable! AND we made the wedding on time.

Sherri — Wow, those are some memories, all right! It really goes to show that you can only plan a wedding to a certain degree — what guests remember is all the crazy stuff that may happen that ISN’T planned! Especially that driver — wow. Thanks for sharing your memories!
