Clean out your closets? Start on home decor? Follow the football playoffs? December shouldn’t get all the fun: What are 3 things you like to do every January?

Like everyone else, I tend to reassess my eating habits and physical activities but I really don’t have any “set” things I do every year…
-I usually will go through my clothes and get rid of anything I haven’t worn in the last 6 months.
-De-clutter any pile of papers on my desk or in my box of “stuff to do or look at later”
-Consider any home projects I would like to get done in the year and start either saving the money or doing the project. ( I am either re-finishing our hard woods under our carpet, or getting new carpet this month!!)
I always like to look at the new year as a year of new opportunities. Having kids seems to make the days and years go by very quickly. This year my son will be graduating from college, I think that will be on my list of accomplishments next year (being done paying those monthly expenses)- woo hoo!!
Debi, I think we’re twins separated at birth. … No wonder we got along so well in junior high! Those all sound exactly like my rituals, too! I usually go through the closets, and this year it’s especially important because we’re also recarpeting. And de-cluttering the desk is what I did last weekend — I even did the whole stroll through Staples and got new file folders and everything. I go organization-crazy every Jan. Wow, congrats on no more college payments for your son! What a relief that will be!
We do seem to still have quite a bit in common, don’t we! Are you excited for the carpet?? I still can’t decide what I prefer to do, but as far as the organizing is going – I am making a big dent =)
Hmmmm, I don’t know that I have any rituals as such but I fo know that I…
1-Watch football! College bowl season is the BEST!
2-Take down the Christmas lights~yuck!
3-watch the start of the golf season from Hawaii.
Seems like my head is always in a fog in January after the holidays. Font know why though as Laurie does most of the shopping and all of the wrapping. I just do the cooking and driving and lights.
My fat thumbs strike again!!!!!
Hitting the “f” instead of the “d”?????
