Celebrity Deaths: Why Do They Affect Us So?

One of the reasons celebrity deaths bother me is because with their departures, a part of my own past is gone. When old-time greats like Jimmy Stewart and Frank Sinatra and even Johnny Carson die, it’s as if something dear to me has died along with it. These were people whose work I admired and losing them is like an ever present reminder that life for all of is is an ongoing march that doesn’t stop – not even for the rich and mighty.
